Services

Clinical Nutrition

Nutrition is the foundation of health, and is essential in the prevention and treatment of disease. I like to assess your dietary habits and recommend modifications that fit with your lifestyle and preferences in order to optimize your health.

Lifestyle Counselling

A balanced lifestyle is essential for long term health. Adjusting your daily habits when it comes to physical activity, sleep, and stress management is a significant factor in your mental and physical well-being.

Botanical Medicine

Botanical medicine uses medicinal plants and extracts to treat health concerns and improve overall health. Botanicals are recommended in the form of capsules, teas, or tinctures (alcohol extracts).

Lab Testing

Similar to your family physician, I order lab work when necessary to obtain objective data on your health. This may include serum hormones, complete blood count, blood sugar, lipids, and kidney and liver function tests.

Intramuscular Injections

If you’re deficient in vitamin B12 or vitamin D, and hate taking supplements, intramuscular injections are a great option! In place of daily supplements, vitamin B12 and vitamin D can be administered as a small injection much less frequently.

Hormone Replacement Therapy

In Ontario, Naturopathic doctors who have met the Standard of Practice for Prescribing can prescribe hormone therapy, including estrogen, progesterone, and thyroid hormone when indicated!

Acupuncture

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture is used to promote healing and improve body function. It involves the insertion of thin, sterile needles into the skin, which may be further stimulated with a mild electric current. Acupuncture is used in the treatment of a wide variety of health concerns, including pain management, infertility/IVF support, mental health, smoking cessation, and nervous system disorders. I like to use acupuncture as adjunctive therapy in comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.
